Amidst the ongoing Israeli-Hamas crisis, attention has increasingly turned towards Egypt. This is because Egypt has a geographical proximity to both Israel and Gaza – the small region of Palestinian land that is presently subject to a blockade after Hamas, an extremist Islamic group, launched a violent aggression against Israel.
