EAC lengthens stay of regional force in DR Congo for additional 3 months

The East African Community (EAC) has decided to prolong the mandate of the regional force deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This is the second extension granted to the force, which commenced its operations in eastern DRC in November of the previous year. The decision was made recently and reinforces the commitment of EAC in addressing the ongoing challenges faced in the region.
