City To Offer €30m Per Year To Haaland To Ward Off Interest From Madrid.

Man City are reportedly aware of Real Madrid’s interest in Erling Haaland and are taking action to protect their striker. ‘The Sun’ reports that the English club will offer Haaland €29.5 million per season, making him the highest-paid player in the Premier League, in hopes that it will deter Real Madrid’s advances. Real Madrid is said to want Haaland to replace Karim Benzema, and is determined to sign him. Manchester City will not make things easy for them, however. Haaland’s current contract at City lasts until 2027, and with a significant pay hike, they hope he will remain until 2028. While Haaland’s camp insists that he is happy at City and not considering leaving, the team wants him to prove it by signing on for another year. The question remains whether this generous offer will be enough to keep Haaland away from Madrid.
