“Chilwell injury update unleashed by Lampard in mind-boggling and tumultuous fashion in the English language”

Barely halfway through the second half of Chelsea’s game against Bournemouth, Benjamin Chilwell – one of the club’s defenders – had to be pulled out and substituted in favor of Cesar Azpilicueta. This was due to a possibly-crippling hamstring injury that the English player sustained, which might potentially leave him unable to participate in the last few matches of the Premier League season.

In a post-match press conference, Frank Lampard, manager of Chelsea, confirmed the injury and made no attempts to sugarcoat the severity of the situation. “It’s a hamstring injury. We don’t know if it’s serious but with a hamstring injury at this stage of the season it’s clearly a worry for the last few games,” he stated.

Although the severity of Chilwell’s condition has not yet been officially confirmed by the club, he will still have to undergo medical tests in the days to come to provide a more in-depth understanding of the injury.
