Brentford, Dortmund, Roma, and Milan Declined Greenwood’s Offer
On the last day of the summer transfer window, Mason Greenwood emerged as a prominent figure. Manchester United decided to loan him to Getafe, but not before encountering rejections from other clubs.
According to ‘The Athletic’, numerous agents reached out to European clubs to offer Greenwood. Eventually, he found his way to Spain’s La Liga.

Prominent clubs such as Brentford, Borussia Dortmund, Milan, and Roma all declined Manchester United’s offer for Greenwood.
Getafe ultimately secured the signature of Greenwood, despite him being accused of assaulting his partner. However, he was not found guilty as his partner dropped the charges before the trial’s conclusion.
Luck was on Getafe’s side, as Manchester United and Lazio had exchanged documents for Greenwood’s departure. Unfortunately, they did not arrive in time before the transfer window closed in Italy.
There is a possibility that the English striker may return to Manchester United in the winter, as there is a signed clause in his contract. His current contract with the Red Devils expires in 2025.
