Barcelona's Gavi Secures Victory Against Osasuna With Three Points And Three Achievements

Barcelona’s midfielder Gavi encountered an unfortunate incident during their match against Osasuna in La Liga’s fourth matchday. The collision with Ruben Garcia resulted in Gavi suffering a cut ear due to an accidental elbow. Additionally, Gavi was also fouled when he interrupted a run by the opposing player. As a consequence, Gavi had to undergo a medical procedure and received three staples for his injury.

Gavi, who made his third start for Barcelona, faced the injury setback at El Sadar stadium. Initially, Oriol Romeu seemed to have taken his place in midfield at the beginning of the season. However, Xavi Hernandez has been utilizing Gavi as a false winger, providing him with more playing opportunities. Unfortunately, the match against Osasuna concluded with a severe injury for the young player.

During the second half, Gavi intercepted a run by Ruben Garcia as he attempted to bypass him in one of Osasuna’s attacks. Gavi stepped in front of the opponent, impeding his progress, and accidentally elbowed him in the ear while raising his arm. The incident resulted in blood on Gavi’s shirt, requiring immediate medical attention.

After a brief period on the sideline, Gavi returned to the pitch with three staples in his earlobe. Barcelona, through their social media channels, shared an image of the player sporting a smile while displaying his injury, adding a unique story to his journey.

Despite the misfortune, the 19-year-old midfielder remained unaffected as Barcelona secured a victory against a challenging Osasuna side. The ‘Rojillos’ had recently experienced elimination from the preliminary round of the Conference League against Brugge. However, Barcelona emerged victorious at El Sadar Stadium, thanks to a penalty converted by Alejandro Catena on Robert Lewandowski.
