Want to inquire Secret Service about deleted textual content messages

Chairman Bennie Thompson mentioned in an announcement that the committee “seeks the relevant text messages, as well as any follow-up reports issued in all divisions of the Secret Service concerning or in any way affecting the events of January 6, 2021.”

The announcement comes not lengthy after the Home Security Supervisory Authority (OIG) said that messages from 5 and 6 January 2021 will need to have been deleted by the Secret Service when the storm started to be investigated. The Secret Service, which is liable for the president’s bodyguard safety, has denied the allegations.
