Violence towards Syrians is growing in Lebanon

— We have seen tensions between Lebanese and Syrians in bakeries all through the nation, says Paula Barrachina, spokesperson for UNHCR.

— In some circumstances, there have even been shootings and that refugees are crushed with sticks.

Lebanon is dealing with a meals entry disaster. In addition, meals costs are rising.

Around a million Syrian refugees who fled the civil conflict of their homeland stay in neighboring Lebanon. Most of them stay in excessive poverty.

In some elements of Lebanon, curfews apply to refugees and authorities have requested bakeries to prioritize Lebanese residents.

Lebanon plans, along with the Syrian authorities, to ship again 15,000 refugees to the nation each month.
