No queen at this year’s garden parties

The festivities take place annually and this year would also celebrate the British regent’s 70 years on the throne on three occasions on 11, 18 and 25 May.

The garden party at the monarch’s official residence in Scotland, Holyroodhouse, on June 29 will also take place without the Queen’s presence.

The queen, who turned 96 on April 21, has had problems with mobility lately, which has forced her to withdraw from certain events, writes Sky news.
