Hezbollah loses majority in Lebanon
The bloc, which beforehand had the help of round 70 of the 128 members of parliament, didn’t get the 65 seats wanted to succeed in a majority.
Opposition candidates who went to the polls as a substitute for the closely criticized elite took 13 seats.
Only about 40 % of Lebanon’s greater than 3.5 million eligible residents are estimated to have gone to the polls throughout Sunday’s parliamentary elections, the primary since a sequence of crises have put the nation in a state of catastrophe.
