Estonia: Do not underestimate Russia

– They have loads of troopers who can nonetheless come. They don’t rely the lives they lose. They don’t rely the artillery they lose there. So I don’t assume we must always underestimate their skill to proceed in the long run, says Kallas in an interview with the information company AP.

She praises the unity that Europe has proven in the direction of Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, though she says that it was clear from the start that it’s going to turn out to be harder over time.

– This is regular for democracies. We debate, we focus on after which we come to the answer. So far, it has been a damaging shock for Putin that we’re nonetheless united, says Kallas.
