Danish diplomats expelled from Russia

“It is a completely unjustified and deeply problematic decision, which underlines that Russia no longer wants a real dialogue and diplomacy,” said Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod in a written comment.

The ambassador is not one of those deported.

In April, Denmark expelled fifteen Russians who, according to the country, were intelligence agents. Russia, on the other hand, claims to be diplomats.

According to the Foreign Minister, Denmark wants to protect diplomacy.

“That is precisely why we have not expelled Russian diplomats from Denmark, but only targeted Russian intelligence agents,” he writes.
