Van de Beek ignores exit offers

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has told his agents that he is not interested in listening to offers of a move from Old Trafford.

Van de Beek was worth £ 35 million from Ajax this summer and is a constant feature in the rumor mill after his debut season with United yielded only four Premier League starts, with many reports suggesting he already wants to leave.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær has always emphasized that Van de Beek’s time is coming, and The Times states that the Dutchman is just as optimistic about his future at the club.

Van de Beek is so determined to stay at United that earlier this summer he told his representatives not to even bother to inform him of interest from elsewhere.

It is believed that his agents have received a number of proposals, but each has been rejected according to Van de Beek’s order.

The 24-year-old is still waiting for his first appearance in the new season, after being glued to the bench for United’s first two games, but both Solskjær and Van de Beek are still convinced that he still has a role to play in the club.

“When you do not win a game you watch it but I always watch it as much when you win too,” Solskjær said (via goal) when asked why Van de Beek did not record the last 1-1 draw with Southampton. “What could we have done differently?

I thought Nemanja [Matic] was excellent, Antho [Martial] was close to scoring a goal but Jadon [Sancho] and Donny will be important to us. ”

With the competition in minutes in the attacking midfield so tough – Van de Beek fights Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood – there have been calls from fans to see the Dutchman placed in a deeper role.

Fred and Matic’s tandem has aroused criticism for their lack of forward thinking, so Van de Beek can find a new home there if Solskjær is willing to give the Netherlands an opportunity.

This is something that may appeal to the Dutchman, given reports that he may be released from the national team over his lack of playing time. Van de Beek, who is a favorite under former manager Frank de Boer, is now facing life under Louis van Gaal – who is known for wanting to work with a smaller pool of players, rather than the 25 he gets to call if he wants to. .
