Transfers, fixtures, kits and more

Juventus had a terrible season last season, only sneaking into the Champions League qualifiers on the last day.

They also struggled in Europe and fell at the first knockout hurdle for FC Porto on away goals. The only consolation from this horror show was their Coppa Italia victory over Atalanta.

Unsurprisingly, Andrea Pirlo was fired at the end of the season with Juventus turning to their ex, Max Allegri, to stabilize the ship.

So do they have enough to regain the Serie A title this season? 90 minutes had looked at everything Juve to find out.

Cristiano Ronaldo is still world class, but this season Federico Chiesa will be the key man to get Juventus to click forward.

Chiesa is the complete package that combines technology, tempo and tricks to dazzle defenders. But what really sets him apart is his fantastic decision-making in the final third.

He’s entering the campaign at the back of a fantastic Euro 2020 and looks set to explode to the next level in Turin this season.

Despite his soft years, Dejan Kulusevski was often Andrea Pirlo’s first option off the bench last season.

The 21-year-old also provided some magical moments, with a superb opening in his side’s Coppa Italia final triumph over Atalanta, the undisputed highlight.

Blessed with both physical and technical gifts, Kulusevski is an extremely exciting player who can play in all possible positions. His versatility means that Allegri should challenge him as often as Pirlo did last season.

Juventus may not have done anything in the transfer market, but under Allegers more wise management, they should regain the Serie A title this season.

Inter’s summer fire sales mean that they are much weaker than the previous campaign and Milan have not done anything during the summer that indicates that they will face a serious challenge. Furthermore, Atalanta have lost some key players and probably do not have the legs either. Naples are the same.

All this should give Juventus a fairly easy ride. However, they should not expect to do much in Europe. There is a long list of Champions League pages that are much stronger than those on paper, which means they have to rely on getting a simple draw to move on.
