Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Hertha Berlin striker Matheus Cunha for around € 30 million (£ 26 million).
The La Liga champions are looking for more firepower this summer after refusing to sign Lyon’s Moussa Dembele permanently after his loan was terminated.

They had pursued Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic but found the Serie A side reluctant to sell, so Atletico’s attention quickly turned to Cunha.
Negotiations with Hertha seem to have been fairly simple as Sky Germany’s Max Bielefeld revealed that an agreement has already been reached between the two sides, with Hertha accepting a bid of £ 26 million plus bonuses.
Everton tried to engage in the talks late but failed with their own bid for the Brazilian, who is thought to favor a move to Spain before the Premier League.
It is now up to Atletico to agree on personal terms with Cunha, but that is not expected to be a problem.
The 22-year-old endured a mixed season last year. In 27 Bundesliga matches he scored seven goals, but six of them came during the first eight matches of the season.
