Talks begin about Sergi Roberto
Bayern Munich want to secure the loan signing of Barcelona right-back Sergi Roberto.
Die Roten are keen to strengthen their options on the back this summer and after welcoming left-back Omar Richards to the club, they now want to bring in a new right-back.

Bayern have drawn up a shortlist including Sergino Dest and Chelsea’s Emerson, but Goal reports that Roberto has emerged as his main target after the club contacted Barça with a view to a season-long loan deal.
Roberto was considered to be signing a new deal in Barcelona earlier this year, but an agreement could not be reached and as such, the Spaniard is out of contract next summer.
While a loan move for a player whose contract expires next summer may seem like silly business from Barcelona – and let’s be honest, they are no strangers to it – it is hoped that the positive relationship between the clubs following Philippe Coutinho’s loan move to Bayern could see a agreement on a fee.

Blaugrana is desperately trying to download players in an attempt to alleviate their ongoing financial difficulties, and even if a temporary move away for Roberto would not provide a transfer fee for now, it would at least alleviate some of the pressure on their eye-watering payroll costs.
With the previously mentioned Dest who has had a year to get used to life in Spain, Roberto can very well be considered a surplus of the requirements at Camp Nou and a move to the Allianz Arena may be on the horizon.
