Rodriguez does not know who Toffees is playing

Everton midfielder James Rodriguez has made the shock proof that he does not know who Toffees will play against this weekend, as his future is very much in the air at Goodison Park.

The 30-year-old arrived at Merseyside in the summer of 2020, inspired by the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti, during which he had had an impressive spell of his career at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti made the sudden decision to leave Goodison Park and return to the Spanish capital during the summer, and it has made Rodriguez feel incredibly dissatisfied with life in England.

The Colombian star wants to follow the Italian coach out of the front door, and demonstrated his obvious separation from Toffees, he recently made an astonishing confession during a live Twitch stream.

Rodriguez, who was not involved in the victory over Southampton, stated that he ‘does not know’ who Everton’s opponents are this weekend, while his teammates are preparing for a tough trip to Leeds United in Rafa Benitez’s first away match for the club.

“I will start training on Monday, I think,” he said, according to AS.

“This weekend I will not play, I do not even know who Everton is playing, can you tell me?

“I think it’s gone because the past was here at home. Ah, against Leeds they play, away, against Bielsa, a difficult match, let’s see what happens, hopefully they win. ”

These comments will not have been loved by Everton faithful, who have been burned once this summer by Ancelotti’s departure. Toffees hoped to become the top six challengers under the former Chelsea boss, but he abandoned his project for another crack at work in Madrid.

Benitez’s appointment has not convinced Rodriguez that he can achieve what he wants with the Premier League side, and his attitude towards the club can be interpreted as extremely disrespectful.

He attracts interest from all over Europe, with Serie A side Milan believed to be tracking his situation.
