Norwich predicted the lineup vs Man City

Norwich’s tricky return to the top flight continues on match day two as they head to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City.

The Canary Islands were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool last time out and Daniel Farke will know that anything but a perfect performance could cause his side to fall to a similar defeat against the reigning Premier League champions.

This is how Farke can set up his team in Manchester.

Tim Krul (GK) – Former City man Angus Gunn is waiting in line, but Krul deserves more time to prove he should keep his place.

Max Aarons (RB) – Unsurprisingly, Aarons impressed against Liverpool and proved once again that he is top material.

Grant Hanley (CB) – Hanley’s lack of pre – season was clear to see last weekend, but with Christoph Zimmermann out due to illness, the captain is a dead cert.

Ben Gibson (CB) – Young Andrew Omobamidele is back and wants to regain his place in the squad after a bout of tonsillitis, but that does not mean Gibson is ready to be sacked yet.

Dimitrios Giannoulis (LB) – Giannoulis was the star of the show against Liverpool and could thrive again at the Etihad.

Billy Gilmour (DM) – Gilmour impressed against City at the end of last season and can benefit from that experience for another huge match.

Pierre Lees -Melou (CM) – Norwich may have lost on opening day but the performance for Lees-Melou was a real positive. A regular Premier League in progress.

Lukas Rupp (CM) – Rupp shared fans against Liverpool, with many unsure if he was actually good. Here’s his chance to set the record.

Todd Cantwell (RW) – In connection with a move to Aston Villa this summer, it is clear that Cantwell has all the tools to become a star in the Premier League. Whether it’s in Norwich or elsewhere remains to be seen.

Teemu Pukki (ST) – It was a dominant show against City in September 2019 that kick-started a wave of Pukki mania; the Finnish striker undoubtedly hopes for more of the same.Milot Rashica (LW) – Christos Tzolis knocks on the door for a first team place but Farke is unlikely to give up Rashica after a single outing. Has played in many big matches in the Bundesliga and experience is the key to a top side.
