Newcastle and West Ham are considering competing with Burnley for the signing of left-back Maxwel Cornet in Lyon.
Sean Dyche’s side has placed a club record bid of £ 15 million on Ivory Coast, who moved to Lyon from Metz in 2015.
But 90 minutes understand that they can face late competition for his signature, with Premier League rivals Newcastle and West Ham interested in a deal for the 24-year-old. Bundesliga kit Hertha Berlin are also keen on him.

Newcastle are in a similar position after losses to West Ham and Aston Villa. The Hammers are trying to strengthen themselves ahead of the UEFA Europa League campaign – they will discover their group stage opponents on Friday.
Lyon have apparently already brought in a replacement for Cornet after Emerson Palmieri arrived from Chelsea last week. The Italian international travels to France after winning the Champions League and Euro 2020.
They have also completed the cut of Xherdan Shaqiri, who is leaving Liverpool after three years at Anfield.
Les Gones especially lost Memphis Depay on a free transfer to Barcelona this summer, while their start to the new Ligue 1 season has been less than ideal. Peter Bosz’s side have been kept at home by Brest and Clermont, while they were knocked out at Angers last week.
