Mbappé Celebrates His Dream Realization with a Stellar Move to Madrid

Kylian Mbappe expressed immense joy on Instagram following the confirmation of his transfer to Real Madrid, describing it as the realization of a lifelong ambition.

The ace striker inked a five-year contract with the European champions and will make the switch as a free agent in July, following the expiry of his Paris Saint-Germain deal.

Previously tipped to leave PSG, Mbappe formally declared his exit early in May after helping his team secure a domestic double with a Coupe de France triumph.

Though once poised to join Madrid during the 2021-22 season, he chose instead to extend his stay at PSG by two years.

Nonetheless, Madrid finally secured their target two years later, with Mbappe taking to social media to express his elation at joining what he called “the club of my dreams”.

“I’m over the moon!” he exclaimed to his 116 million followers. “Finally a part of the club I’ve always aspired to join.”

Mbappe exits PSG as its top scorer ever, having netted 256 times, with 44 of these goals scored last season alone.

Looking ahead, he shifts focus to Euro 2024. Under Didier Deschamps’ guidance, France aims to snatch their third European title and improve on their recent World Cup final appearance.

France will warm up for the tournament with matches against Luxembourg and Canada. They kick off their Euro campaign on June 17, facing teams like Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland in their group.
