Maresca Thrilled to Secure His Dream Role at Chelsea

Enzo Maresca has ascended to the helm at Stamford Bridge, inking a five-year pact with Chelsea. The fresh appointment fills the vacancy left by Mauricio Pochettino, who parted ways with the club just a year into his tenure. Marescas’s arrival, announced last Monday, includes an additional year’s option on his contract.

Uttering his enthusiasm, Maresca shared, “Landing the role at one of the globe’s premier clubs is a dream turned reality for any gaffer. This possibility thrills me to no end.” He added, “I’m keen to work with our skilled squad and staff. We aim to build on Chelsea’s victorius legacy while bringing joy to our supporters.”

Before his current role, Maresca steered Leicester City back into the Premier League, clinching the Championship title promptly. His appointment marks him as the fourth manager since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took the reins at Chelsea in 2022.
