Bayern Munich have confirmed that star midfielder Joshua Kimmich has signed a new four-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
Kimmich was one of a handful of key players who went into the final two years of his contracts this summer, but Bayern were always adamant that he would put papers on a new contract and would not have to be sold.

It did not take long for Bayern to prove it when they went to their official website to confirm that Kimmich has signed for another four years and is committed to the German champions until 2025.
“The main reason for my contract extension is that I can continue my passion with joy every day here at FC Bayern,” said Kimmich. “I have a team where I can achieve everything and many teammates have become real friends. That’s why I started playing football in the first place, because it should be fun.
“I still do not think I am at the end of my development and I am convinced that there is a lot possible in FC Bayern in the next few years. In addition, my family feels at home here. Munich has become a second The combination we have is not available all over the world. ”
Bavarian President Herbert Hainer added: “We are delighted to enter the future with Joshua Kimmich. He has developed into an international top player with us, and it is important for us to keep players of this quality in our team in the long term. Kimmich has blossomed into one of the game’s best players during his time with Bayern. He came from RB Leipzig in 2015 and has since made more than 250 appearances for the Bundesliga giants.
Originally a right-back, the 26-year-old is now a dominant midfielder with six Bundesliga titles to his name, and unsurprisingly, the Bayern bosses were ecstatic to see him commit his future to the club.
