Everton bid rejected for Blades striker

Everton have been rejected by Sheffield United on 18-year-old striker Daniel Jebbison, but Toffees is not the only Premier League club interested in the young Canadian.

Jebbison was born and raised in Ontario but his family moved to England in 2017 when his mother took a new job and he joined Sheffield United’s youth ranks the following year.

The teenager played twice on loan at National League North club Chorley halfway through last season but later returned to his parent club and played four times for the Blades in the Premier League in May alone. He even scored his first senior goal in a 1-0 victory over Everton.

Everton clearly noted Jebbison as 90 minutes can reveal that Toffees has made a bid that has been rejected by Sheffield United. Premier League rivals Aston Villa are also keen to try to hit a permanent deal for him and feel his enormous potential.

During the Premier League, Championship side Hull have made an offer for loan to Jebbison, who has only presented for Sheffield United in the EFL Cup so far this season, as well as League One duo Sunderland and Burton.

Sheffield United would consider a permanent sale when they want to raise money to invest in the squad for the new coach Slavisa Jokanovic. So far, a loan to Ben Davies from Liverpool is the only new arrival since relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.

The Blades have struggled since returning to the championship, without winning any of their first four games, and are in 23rd place just one point above the bottom of the table.

A significant amount of money has just been raised through the sale of Aaron Ramsdale to Arsenal at the end of last week for an initial £ 24m, plus up to £ 6m more in addition.
