Cristiano Ronaldo transfer: Allegri confirms that Juventus will stay
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will not leave the club for the rest of the summer and will play against Udinese on Sunday.
Ronaldo, who is out of contract next year, had been linked with a Juve departure due to concerns that his salaries are too great a financial burden for the club in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 36-year-old has been linked with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City, all with little substance. There have also been rumors that PSG will approach next summer when Ronaldo can be a free agent, which would incredibly mean agreeing with Lionel Messi.
Speculation at Real Madrid was shut down within hours of the first report in Spain last week, with manager Carlo Ancelotti tweeting that there is no plan to sign Ronaldo this summer.
Speaking of Ronaldo’s immediate future, Juve boss Allegri made it clear that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is not going anywhere at the moment.
“He never wanted to leave. He told me he’s staying, so we can clean it up. He will be in Udine, says Allegri and speaks before the club’s Serie A opening this weekend.

Ronaldo himself recently took up the subject of his future directly with a long post on social media to refute ongoing speculation about a possible transfer.
“Apart from the latest episode in Spain, there have often been news and stories that associated me with a number of clubs in many different leagues, without anyone ever worrying about trying to find out the real truth,” said Ronaldo.
“I’m breaking the silence now to say that I can not let people continue to play with my name. I remain focused on my career and in my work, committed and prepared for all the challenges I have to face. Everything else? Everything else is just talk. ”
