Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Matys Tel from Stade Rennes, with Hasan Salihamidzic describing the younger striker as “one of the biggest talents in Europe”.
Tel broke into the Rennes crew final season and turned the membership’s youngest ever participant in August and went on to make 10 appearances in all competitions.
Although he’s but to attain a senior purpose, the 17-year-old has been prolific at youth stage, scoring 5 targets in seven video games for France Under-17s.
“Mathys Tel is one of the biggest talents in Europe, a very fast, technically strong and versatile striker,” Salihamidzic stated after confirming his arrival.
“With France U17, he became European champions this year as the team’s captain. We have been watching him for a long time and have now been able to convince him to take his next important steps with us in Munich.
“We are pleased with it as a result of there have been many golf equipment who wished to signal him. The improvement of such a unprecedented younger participant is an thrilling venture for all of us.
“Obviously Mathys needs time now, he needs commitment and rhythm. We are all convinced that he has a great career ahead of him and that he will help our team.”
Tel added: “FC Bayern is one of the best teams in the world. I am really looking forward to this big challenge and will give everything for this club.
“The conversations with Hasan Salihamidzic and the folks in cost at FC Bayern actually impressed me and made me shortly notice that I completely wished to go to Munich.”
