Bayer Leverkusen Dominates Bochum 5-0: Unstoppable Champions Extend 50-match Unbeaten Streak

Bayer Leverkusen, led by Xabi Alonso, dominated Bochum in the Bundesliga on Sunday. They extended their unbeaten streak to 50 matches this season.

Alonso’s squad, pursuing a treble, broke Benfica’s European unbeaten record after advancing to the Europa League final against Roma.

They didn’t let up against Bochum, scoring twice before halftime against the last team to defeat them last season.

Patrik Schick and Victor Boniface found the net before Amine Adli, Josip Stanisic, and Alejandro Grimaldo sealed the 5-0 win.

Leverkusen, set to face Atalanta in the Europa League final and Kaiserslautern in the DFB-Pokal final, have 87 points with one Bundesliga match remaining.

Bayern Munich, trailing in second place by 15 points, won 2-0 against Wolfsburg.

Data shows Leverkusen matched Bayern’s record of staying undefeated in all away matches this season in Bundesliga history, setting a new club record of 87 goals scored this season.
