Barella Commits to Inter Milan with Exciting New Contract Extension

Nicolo Barella has squashed all rumors by clenching a new agreement with Inter.

This Italian ace, originally signed through 2026, will now sport the Nerazzurri jersey until 2029.

Despite whispers of a potential exodus to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle all reportedly keen, Barella remains in Milan.

Since transitioning from Cagliari in mid-2019, Barella has totaled 235 caps for Inter, snagging Serie A and Coppa Italia honors, and reaching the finals of the 2019-20 Europa League and the 2022-23 Champions League.

“I’m overjoyed to continue my journey with Inter,” Barella shared on the club’s portal. “There was never a doubt in my mind.”

Committed to the emblem of the club, he said, “Signing before the European tournament was essential to me. It’s an honor to bleed these colors further.”

“The goal is to prolong the triumphs,” he remarked. “The aim is to scale new heights and thrill our supporters. Grand times are ahead, and I bristle with anticipation for our shared future.”

Currently, Barella is with Italy’s national squad, hurrying to recover for the upcoming Euro 2024 face-off with Albania.

Though sidelined with a muscle strain during Italy’s preparatory bouts, Barella trained solo on Tuesday. The team’s gaffer, Luciano Spalletti, is optimistic about his return for Saturday’s match in Dortmund.
