Mariano made his debut for Barcelona in 1939, just 20 years old, and went on to collect 128 goals in 150 appearances during a productive nine-year stint with the club. His impressive mood only creeps him into the top ten, ahead of club legends Patrick Kluivert and Hristo Stoichkov.
The Spaniard would be further up the list but for a debilitating knee injury he suffered in 1944 from which he could not fully recover. After scoring 114 goals in five seasons before the injury hit, Mariano managed just 14 nets over the next four seasons in a sad end to his Barcelona career.
