Aurier, Sanchez & Sissoko for sale

Tottenham have told Moussa Sissoko, Serge Aurier and Davinson Sanchez they are available for transfer this summer.

With Fabio Paratici calling the shot and Nuno Espirito Santo appointed to lead the team, Spurs are keen to build up their squad this summer and already want to make some big signings, which means some players will inevitably have to leave.

There are plenty of first-team players whose future at the club are not at all secure, but according to The Athletic, some have been told that they are for sale this summer – including Sissoko, Aurier and Sanchez.

It is suggested that Sissoko’s departure is a high priority at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to the knock-on effect it has on French players such as young Oliver Skipp, who is still waiting to find out if he will join the squad next season or not.

The 20-year-old enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Norwich City last year and it is understood that Spurs want to keep him this season. Sissoko’s presence could block it and force Skipp out on another loan.

As for Sanchez, an agreement to release the defender had already been in motion earlier in the window when Spurs agreed on a swap deal to send him to Sevilla in exchange for Jules Kounde, only for the Colombian to reject a move to the club.

Spurs have since turned their attention to Atalanta’s Cristian Romero, but his £ 50m price tag could be problematic, especially if Spurs are unable to raise any money by selling Sanchez.

Finally, links between Aurier and AC Milan have re-emerged recently and a price agreement can be made when he enters the final year of his contract. On paper, it seems that Nuno is ready to work with former Wolves star Matt Doherty again, but the boss is actually ready to sell him as well.

Although there are no active plans to download Doherty, Nuno is open to upgrading on the right back as he does not think the Irishman is comfortable enough on the ball – a concern that led to his first sale during Nuno last year.

There are many players that Nuno has to decide on, and sales are expected to increase after the upcoming left-hand matches before the season against Chelsea and Arsenal.
