Liverpool are considering a £ 30m move for Wolves winger Adama Traore as the Reds look set to increase their squad ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 season.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino remain the top three at Anfield, but Liverpool secured the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves last summer to provide back-up and competition for the starters and could try to do the same with Traore.

The Wolves are ready to make money on Traore this summer, and 90 minutes revealed last month that player sales will be required to be able to invest in new players for the new coach Bruno Lage.
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio is already gone and has been replaced by cheaper alternative Jose Sa, while Ruben Neves is available if a club meets Wolves’ valuation of over 30 million pounds. Traore is also ready to leave, despite the fact that an agreement was reached in principle on a new contract in November.
Leeds have been the club most interested in Traore for some time and are still keen to sign him this summer. However, Liverpool have also continued to keep track of the situation and can take advantage of the player’s falling price tag.
Liverpool were previously linked with Traore 2020 when Wolves were considered to value the Spanish winger anywhere between 60 and 80 million pounds.
Now, however, Traore is in the last two years of his contract with Molineux after plans for a new deal collapsed, forcing his price tag down. Spotty form last season, Wolves’ desire to raise money and the player’s willingness to move on are also contributing factors.
The Daily Star reports that Liverpool could try to take advantage of the situation and test Wolves’ determination with a £ 30m bid, although Traore may need to be persuaded as he will likely only get a reserve role at Merseyside, as has been the case with Jota.
Liverpool’s extensive finances mean that £ 30 million is a more realistic level than a presumed bid of £ 86 million for Juventus star Federico Chiesa, who was recently speculated in Italy.
