A few days before the presidential and legislative elections in Niger, Moden Fa Lumana gives her voting instructions. The party’s candidate, Hama Amadou, had his candidacy annulled by the Constitutional Court because of his convictions. The opposition party therefore calls on its supporters to vote for former President Mahamane Ousmane.
Moden Fa Lumana’s National Political Office announced late Wednesday afternoon by reading a press release in French, Hausa and Zarma as presidential and legislative elections take place on Sunday, December 27.
Its general secretary, Mallam Sani Mahamane, announced that the party supports Mahamane Ousman for Sunday’s presidential election. candidate Mahamane Ousmane, ”he explained.
The 70-year-old former president is the candidate for the RDR Tchanji party, a member, like Moden Fa Lumana, of the opposition’s CAP 20/21 coalition.

But the party of Hama Amadou Still remains in favor of parliamentary elections and reminds its activists to vote well for their lists. “However, the political office of ModenFa Lumana Africa calls on all its structures and our activists to vote in the legislative elections for the list of ModenFa Lumana Africa for democracy in order to win and strengthen the republic and the rule of law,” the press release continued.
In the absence of a presidential candidate, Moden Fa Lumana hopes to be able to weigh in the National Assembly, according to Bana Ibrahim, the party’s communications director, and improve her score in 2016.
In a statement on social media, Hama Amadou congratulates the political agency for deciding to support Mahamane Ousmane. He urges Lumana Africa activists to “vote for a group” for the former head of state.
