Key witness in this case: the police Paul Mwilambwe, sentenced to death in absence in the Democratic Republic of Congo for his alleged role in the assassination. Today Paul Mwilambwe is temporarily waiting for his trial, which was explained to us by his lawyer in Senegal, Maître Dimingo Dieng, in our correspondent’s microphone. , Charlotte Idrac.“The investigation is complete and the case has been sent to the prosecutor for employment, but you know, it’s the best way to bury a case! Would Paul Mwilambwe consider returning to the Democratic Republic of Congo if the trial reopens?
“It is from there that things have moved the most. John Numbi is no longer halo of the power he had. An arrest warrant was recently issued against him, so if we now go to a full trial, it will be a great hope, because it is very uncomfortable to live with a sword of Damocles on its head. Paul Mwilambwe will be able to participate and deliver his share of the truth ”.
