Emmanuel Macron in West Africa as French influence questioned
In tonight’s edition: The French president has embarked on a tour of Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau as French influence in Africa is challenged in several countries.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was in Congo-Brazzaville on Monday for the second leg of a five-day tour of Africa in an attempt to strengthen Moscow’s ties with the continent.
Finally, the city of Arles, in the south of France, hosts a major photography festival, where several African artists are exhibited, including James Barnor, a famous Ghanaian photographer.
