Suicide bombers kill regional minister and his son in Baidoa

Mogadishu- The Minister of Justice of the Southwest State, Sheikh Hassan Ibrahim Lugbuur, and his son have been killed in a suicide bombing in Baidoa on Friday after they left a mosque.

At least 11 different individuals, together with one other son of the late minister, have been reportedly injured within the assault, based on native officers.

No one has claimed duty for the blast, however the president of the southwestern state, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, mentioned the blast was behind the al-Shabaab group.

The killing of the minister comes two days after a suicide bomber in town of Merca killed 13 individuals, together with town’s mayor Abdullahi Ali Wafow.

Baidoa, the most important metropolis within the southwestern state, is positioned 245 kilometers (152 miles) southwest of the capital, Mogadishu.
