In South Africa, members of the Ugandan diaspora are following the presidential campaign closely. Many of them live off home deliveries in Johannesburg, and the image of Bobi Wine with his red beret against the current President Museveni is increasingly present on the motorcycles that cross the city.
Uganda is preparing to vote to elect its future president. On January 14, the immortal Yoweri Museveni, 76 and in power for 34 years, will run for a sixth term. In front of him is his main opponent Robert Kyagulanyi, 38, and better known as Bobi Wine. The campaign, spiced with violence and attacks on the young opposition candidate, is in full swing in Uganda.
