Somalia’s parliament approves the federal government’s funds of $ 918.7 million

Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia’s parliament on Thursday permitted the $ 918.7 million nationwide authorities funds after three days of intense debate, officers mentioned.

204 lawmakers voted for the funds with an improve of $ 247.7 million in comparison with the earlier funds for 2021.

“After 3 days of intense debate in the Folketing and weeks of discussions with the Joint Houses of Parliament’s Finance Committee, the budget for 2022 has been approved by the legislators. We can now move on to the process of implementing the budget for the benefit of the people of Somalia,” mentioned Dr. Abdirahman Beileh , Somalia’s Minister of Finance on Twitter.

The Minister added that “We can now move forward with the process of implementing the budget for the benefit of the people of Somalia.”
