Somali president travels to Egypt to enhance diplomatic relations

Mogadishu – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud traveled to Egypt on Sunday to enhance bilateral cooperation between the 2 nations.

The president will maintain talks together with his Egyptian counterpart Abdulfatah Al-Sisi on financial and diplomatic cooperation, combating terrorism and restoring the position of the Egyptian authorities within the improvement of schooling in Somalia.

Mohamud, who was a particular visitor on the East African Community (EAC) summit in Arusha, Tanzania, returned residence on Saturday.

Since he was elected president on May 15, he has traveled overseas seven instances. He visited the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Eritrea, Kenya and Djibouti whereas the Prime Minister had not but shaped the Cabinet.
