Soldier executed in Somalia after conviction for double homicide of NISA chief and his sister

Mogadishu – A army courtroom in Somalia on Tuesday executed a soldier, Ahmed Abdi Hassan, often called Dhagadhere, after being convicted of murdering Farah Omar Geelle, a NISA regional deputy commander in Galmudug and his sister Hawo Omar Geelle in Abudwaq ten days in the past.

Hassan, a soldier within the twenty first Division, was executed by firing squad in town’s central sq..

Farah and Hawo had been murdered on 17 July in Abudwaq metropolis centre. Hassan initially fled the scene of the homicide, however was apprehended two days later simply outdoors the Abudwaq district.

Hassan was convicted on Sunday by the twenty first Division Military Court and sentenced to loss of life.

The Geelle household stated they had been happy with the courtroom’s conclusion and welcomed the loss of life sentence.
