Five lifeless in Al-Shabaab assault on African Union forces in Somalia
MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least 5 troopers have been killed and a number of other injured in a roadside blast concentrating on African Union forces in Somalia on Saturday.
A convoy of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) hit a landmine on the outskirts of Marka, the provincial capital of the southwestern area of Lower Shabelle.
The 5 troopers killed have been Ugandans serving within the AU mission, in line with native media.
Officials in the world confirmed the assault however didn’t specify the variety of casualties. The AU mission has but to touch upon the incident.
The terrorist group al-Shabaab claimed accountability for the assault.
