Breaking News: US Military Affirms Zero Drone Strikes in Northeastern State Region

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The US military clarified that it was not involved in drone operations in Northeastern State, the most stable region in Somalia.

While the Somali government claimed over 20 militants were killed in an airstrike in Northeastern State, the US Africa Command denied any participation in the operation.

The statement by AFRICOM contradicted reports by the Somali government, which claimed international partners were involved in the airstrike that allegedly killed key Al-Shabaab leaders.

However, Northeastern State authorities disputed these claims, stating that the Somali National Army was not present in the area where the operation took place, casting doubt on the accuracy of the reports.

Local residents reported hearing explosions, which they believed to be airstrikes in the Cal Madow mountains, but there was no concrete evidence to support these claims.

The US Africa Command has been supporting the Somali National Army and African Union troops in their operations against Al-Shabaab, resulting in significant losses for the militant group.
