A truck bomb focused a navy base within the Hiiraan area

Mogadishu – Heavy casualties have been reported after a suicide truck bomb focused a navy base outdoors the city of Beledweyne in central Somalia on Friday.

Jawil District Commissioner, Abdulkhadir Abdi Abdullahi, stated the automotive exploded on the entrance gate of the bottom, including that they might assess the casualties and harm triggered by the explosion.

Security forces reportedly fired on the truck earlier than the explosion.

The authorities troops have been deployed at the bottom as half of a bigger safety operation towards al Shabaab terrorists, who had been attacking Ethiopian border areas in current weeks.

Al Shabaab claimed duty for the assault.

The explosion website is about 20 kilometers from the Ethiopian-Somali border.

Last week, airstrikes focused the village of Omad in Hiiraan area’s Matabaan district, the place al Shabaab has a military base. Al-Shabaab stated an Ethiopian navy aircraft bombed the village with a missile.
