A minimum of seven individuals have been killed in a suicide assault in Somalia’s Mogadishu

A minimum of seven individuals have been killed and a number of other others injured in a suicide bombing at a busy restaurant in Mogadishu, Somalia on Friday evening, a police officer stated.

The assault happened close to Mogadishu airport in a preferred restaurant usually visited by authorities and safety authorities.

Mogadishu police officer Abdifatah Hassan instructed Anadolu Company (AA) that at the very least seven individuals have been killed within the assault.

In line with medical sources, at the very least 10 individuals have been injured within the assault and rushed to hospital for remedy.

Ismail Mukhtar Oronjo, a spokesman for the Somali authorities, instructed AA that it was a suicide assault and that the bomber blew himself up contained in the restaurant.

Safety officers rushed to the scene and cordoned off the realm.

Though no group has but claimed duty for the assault, Somali-based al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group al-Shabab has claimed current assaults in Somalia.
