AU’s health care bureau asks the populations to remain mobilized

Africa is facing the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Many countries on the continent are registering an outbreak of new cases, according to the African Union Specialized Health Bureau (CDC-Africa).

The head of the agency, John Nkangasong, completed his mission to assess the pandemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo this weekend. He warns against non-compliance with the measures introduced, but assures the ongoing efforts to validate a vaccine against the virus.

The population is tired. It must be returned. It is not yet known how the virus will develop. Everything we have invested to protect the population – containment, etc. – all these gains are quickly erased if the population does not cooperate.
