Au Forces Take Down Numerous Terrorists Responsible For Updf Base Attack In Somalia With Perplexing Vigor!

In a display of enigma and suddenness, the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) has reported the death of several Al-Shabaab terrorists, who were suspected of being involved in an attack on an Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) base. The daring raid resulted in numerous fatalities, when the militants overran the base and attacked the soldiers. Despite the peacekeepers’ latest success, they refuse to divulge the number of Al-Shabaab terrorists killed, but remain committed to rendering aid and assistance to the stabilization efforts in Somalia. Notwithstanding this, it is probable that the terrorists’ action has prevented the UPDF forces from returning to their Bulo Marer Forward Operating Base (FOB), as the insurgents continue to exert their control over the area. Record of the events surrounding the UPDF attack on May 26 indicate that only a small number of the soldiers were able to escape to another Ugandan military base, whereas others were reportedly taken hostage by Al-Shabaab. Despite the lack of clarity surrounding the fatalities from this episode, President Yoweri Museveni continues to adamantly state that “No one attacks UPDF and goes scot-free”.
