Arsenal Prepare Temporary Transfer of Tavares to Nottingham Forest

Arsenal and Nottingham Forest have come to an agreement regarding the loan transfer of Nuno Tavares, a Portuguese defender. The 23-year-old will join Nottingham Forest on loan for the season, with an option for Forest to buy him included in the deal.

According to renowned journalist and transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, the loan fee for this transfer is slightly over £1 million, while the purchase option is set at £12 million.

Romano also mentioned that Tavares successfully underwent a medical examination at Trentside on Tuesday. He will join Amir Murillo in Nottingham Forest’s defensive lineup, as Murillo has reportedly been signed from Anderlecht.

Having spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille, Tavares will now reunite with a familiar face at his new club, as Arsenal had previously sold goalkeeper Matt Turner to Nottingham Forest earlier in the summer for a fee of approximately £7 million.
