Africa: The Tuberculosis Crisis Lurking in the Aftermath of Climate Disasters

[IPS] New York City experienced a significant downpour of rain, amounting to 6 inches, towards the end of September, just two weeks after the United Nations organized a High-Level Meeting on Tuberculosis (TB). This torrential storm had a similar magnitude to Hurricane Ida, which struck the city two years prior. The aftermath of Hurricane Ida resulted in extensive damage to over 3% of buildings, tragically claimed the lives of 13 individuals, and left 380 families without homes.
