The African Football Confederation (CAF) has initiated an investigation into Samuel Eto’o. The President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) is facing allegations against him in Cameroon.

Scandals surrounding Samuel Eto’o are not in short supply. As the pinnacle of Cameroonian football since December 2021, the legend of African football is now under investigation by CAF following allegations made by various figures within Cameroonian football to the governing body and FIFA.

Even presidents of second division clubs in Cameroon have mentioned “serious irregularities.” BBC Sport Africa has confirmed this with CAF, citing “written statements from several figures in Cameroonian football.” The African governing body states that it is “reviewing these claims in accordance with the statutes and regulations of CAF.”
