A Mind-Boggling and Exhilarating Education Fund Unleashed to Escalate African Learners’ Proficiency in the Pulsating Energy Industry

The AEC African Energy Education Fund has launched an annual initiative that provides financial assistance to young African individuals pursuing undergraduate studies in the oil, gas, and energy-related fields. With Africa experiencing remarkable growth in gas and renewable energy, the industry promises to bring tremendous prospects for economic expansion and environmental sustainability. The scholarship fund aims to empower the upcoming generation with necessary expertise and acknowledges the importance of seizing opportunities. Learners from South Africa to Egypt, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Namibia, and beyond pursuing energy-related disciplines will benefit from financial support and educational materials. The Chamber will establish strategic partnerships with select institutions for scholarships, grants, and mentorship for deserving students. The AEC Energy Scholarship Award will reward eight exceptional students, particularly encouraging female applicants, with substantial financial support for professional growth. The students will also participate in the youth forum at AEW 2023—the largest gathering of energy stakeholders in Africa.
